Downtown projects attract new residents

Several updates to the historical Albert House in downtown Sioux Falls are drawing more new residents to the apartment building. All apartments, hallways and the main lobby were given a fresh, new look over the past year. The Albert House located at 6th Street and Phillips Avenue was built in 1912 , and it is one of the most historical buildings in downtown Sioux Falls. Here is a look inside the updated 44-unit apartment building.

Also downtown, the brand new Third Avenue Lofts building is a popular draw for residents looking for a new property.

Third Avenue Lofts hosted a fall open house on November 7 and will also host an upcoming Downtown Sioux Falls Member Social on December 17. The lofts were also a featured virtual tour at the South Dakota Multi-Housing Association state convention in October.

“There is a lot of excitement in downtown Sioux Falls for more residential units,” said Norm Drake, co-manager of Third Avenue Lofts, LLC and CEO of Legacy Development & Consulting Company, LLC. “We continue to look for additional opportunities to bring additional housing options to this part of our community, and we should have more to share in the coming weeks.”
