The final space available in the BridgeView Crossing strip mall is now under a new lease. JJ’s Axes & Ales will move into the 3,095-square-foot space before summer from their current location near 57th Street and Western Avenue.
“The purpose for developing JJ’s Axes & Ales was to operate a business in our old location until our lease expired in March 2021. We quickly found that this business was going to thrive, but needed room to do so,” said Tom Slattery, owner of JJ’s Axes & Ales and JJ’s Wine, Spirits & Cigars.
Slattery relocated JJ’s Wine, Spirits & Cigars in June 2018 to a stand-alone location at BridgeView Crossing and opened JJ’s Axes & Ales in previous location along Western Avenue.
“With the last remaining 3,000 square feet still available in our sister building at BridgeView Crossing, we decided this would be a much better location for Axes & Ales to be able to foster more growth, and create more retail synergy with our flagship store,” added Slattery.
“This is going to be a fantastic location for Axes & Ales, and it also provides Tom a great opportunity to collaborate with his successful JJ’s Wine, Spirits & Cigars business and grow that, as well,” said Norm Drake, Legacy Development & Consulting Company, LLC CEO and manager of Copenhagen Real Estate Holdings, LLC. “It’s a great addition to a busy location.”
JJ’s Axes & Ales joins five other tenants at BridgeView Crossing – Creative Surfaces Countertop & Tile and the Cambria Gallery, Tan on Demand, Ag Resource Management, Elegant Nail Bar and MK Suites.

Michelle Hunter, who owns and operates neighboring Tan on Demand, recently opened MK Suites in the 2,500-square-foot endcap at BridgeView. Several independent businesses are operating out of MK Suites including Kitchen Refresh, Inc, Body Sculpting Day Spa, Amethyst Massage Therapy, Waxing by Regina and several different stylists offering salon services.
